We have fond memories of Spearfish because of the unexpected charm of the a place we only viewed as a place to sleep one night as we planned our trip.

This picture is of Spearfish Canyon which is a very pleasant drive.

We also drove just out of town to see a woodcarving centre and the Plains Indian Museum which both exceeded our expectations and we finshed off a very pleasant day with the kids in the towns park and the adjoining trout hatchery followed by our traditional wander along the main street.
